Week 1: Island Oasis June 24th-28th
“I’ve been starring at the edge of the water ‘long as I can remember, never really knowing why…” come to Camp Gordyland and find out! Join us for a week of adventure, exploring the land and sea of our pools, pond, river, sports field, through Arts & Crafts and each day at our Opening Ceremonies. Dress like an explorer, Moana, a hula dancer, surfer or someone ready for vacation for this week’s Dress-up day.
Week 2: Holiday Hoopla July 1st -5th (No Camp, Thursday, July 4th)
Can you imagine celebrating some of your favorite holidays all at your favorite place? Guess what, you can this year at Camp Gordyland! Come join us as we celebrate “Gordy-tines” Day, Friendsgiving, the 4th of July and a Gordy New Year. We’ll make “Gordy-tine” cards to give to our friends, enjoy a special lunch altogether and toast to the camp year. Be sure to wear a old white shirt for our Annual Color Run on Friday! And don’t forget your $3 for Hot Dog Day Wednesday (a favorite weekly tradition).
Week 3: Cosmic Carnival July 8th -12th (Carnival Wednesday, July 10th at 1pm & Dunk your Director Thursday, July 11th starting at 3pm)
Get your popcorn, hot dogs and win big at our annual Carnival, Wednesday July 10th. This week we will be featuring a Cosmic Carnival complete with “Out of this World” games and prizes. Do you have the skills it takes to fly to space? Test your speed, agility, and Earthly knowledge at our Opening Ceremonies and activities. At our camp activities you will be able to do Space Training Obstacle Course, catch Alien “Bad guys” at Canoe, and for our older campers, assess your target accuracy at Archery. Find your favorite Star Wars shirt or costume for Dress-up Thursday! Don’t forget to stop by during pick-up on Thursday to Dunk your Director (2 balls for $1). All money raised will go towards our Camp Scholarship Fund! We’ll see you under the Big Top! *Hot Dog Day will be on Thursday this week only*
Week 4: Wild West Week July 15th-19th
Did you know that Camp Gordyland is at the base of a mountain where gold was once mined? Well, now you have the chance to find this very special Gordy Gold. All coins collected will go towards our annual Color Games points. Help your Color team get a jump to earn the Character cup. So dress like a miner or maybe cowboy/girl and be ready to search high and low during during Gordy’s Gold Rush!
Week 5: Color Games XXVII July 22nd -26th (The Big Show, Friday, 26th at 1pm)
Let’s get ready to dance, cheer and show your color pride for our 27th Annual Color Games! Cheer on your color team each morning during opening ceremonies, earn points for loudest team, and bring your Spirit to activities like Color Craze and Dance. Team Building helps demonstrate our 5 Character values as well as team spirit and enthusiasm. Save your pennies and silver coins for our Penny Wars where we will help raise money for our scholarship fund and points for your Color Team. Wear your Team’s Colored t-shirt all week and give it all you got for your color on Friday the 26th at 1 pm for the BIG SHOW! Be there to see who will win the Big Show Belt and the Character Cup (Parents are welcome!)
Week 6: Protectors of the Universe July 29th– August 2nd
Get out your capes and tiaras and be ready to assemble into action for our week of Superheros and other protectors of our Camp Gordyland universe. Embark on Avenger conditioning at Sports, defeat Thanos with your wit and humor at drama, impress Merida with the skills you learn at Archery, and make Captain America’s shield pizza at Gordy’s Gourmet. Can’t wait to see what superheros, villains and princesses come out for Dress-up day on Thursday!
Don’t forget to come out and cheer on your favorite Superhero Team at our Staff vs. Director CF Football Game Fundraiser, Date- TBD!
Week 7: Gordyland’s Got Talent August 5th -9th Talent Show: Friday, August 9th at 10am)
Can you sing, dance or juggle or maybe all at the same time? Whatever your talent might be, we want to see it for our annual Gordyland’s Got Talent on Friday, August 10th at 10am (Parents Welcome). Throughout the week you will have the opportunity to practice or choreograph and plan your performance with your camp group or friends. We will have music trivia and dance offs at Opening Ceremonies, test your minute to win it talents throughout the camp activities and use your engineering skills as you build sandcastles at Picnic Games. You will use your talent as an Iron Chef at Gordy’s Gourmet as you have only a few minutes to make the special ingredients into an edible work of art. Be sure to dust off your feather boas, leather jackets, and rock star glasses to become a celebrity for Dress-up Thursday. We’ll see you on the red carpet!
Week 8: Weird, Wild & Wacky August 12th -16th
Welcome to the land where imagination and creativity meets science and the outdoors ! This week anything is possible! We hope to make your camp dreams a reality. Find special coins all over camp to have your wishes granted. Earn a thousand color points for your team, get a pizza party, pie your counselor in the face and so much more magic is possible this week. Dress-up like a magical character or being, embrace a favorite fantasy character or dress a little weird,wacky and wild, Anything GOES! We can’t wait to see what your imagination brings to life during our last week of camp!
