Fundraising & Benefit Events at the Wilton Family Y
Y fundraising must fill the gap each year to provide the resources needed to fulfill our mission, and these efforts can only succeed through the generosity of our members and friends in the community. We hope you will support one or more of the initiatives described below through participation or sponsorship so that the Y can continue to assist the 1200 people annually who need help to participate in our programs and services.
Neighbors in Need
It surprises many people to learn that there are individuals and families living in our community who need assistance in order to benefit from Wilton Family Y programs and services. Some of them could be your neighbors.
The Y’s mission is to be open and accessible to everyone, regardless of special need or financial situation. It takes almost $500,000 each year for the Wilton Y to ensure that:
• Every child is able to learn how to swim and experience summer camp
• Every mom and dad who works has a safe place for their child to go after school
• Every senior is able to age actively and healthfully among friends
•Every teen has access to values-based programs with positive role models
• Every parent is able to enjoy quality recreational time with their children
• Every person with a disability or special challenge can feel welcome and included

The Wilton Community Celebration
Save the Date: Saturday, Nov. 13 at Rolling Hills Country Club, Wilton, CT
Sponsored by The Wilton Bank as a benefit for the Y’s Fund for Community Service, the Celebration is a gala dinner dance and auction which recognizes outstanding volunteers through the Distinguished Citizen Awards. Over 200 people enjoy a wonderful evening of fine dining, dancing, socializing and congratulating the award winners, while raising over $100,000
for the Y’s scholarship and outreach programs.
“Caring for Our Kids” Golf Classic
Save the Date: Monday, September 27 at Rolling Hills Country Club, Wilton, CT
Sponsored by Fairfield County Bank/Carnall Insurance, the Y’s Annual Golf Classic raises almost $50,000 for the Fund for Community Service and is a spectacular day on the links, no matter what your handicap.
“Strong Kids” Annual Appeal
The Y's Annual Appeal is our major source of charitable contributions for the Fund, raising over $130,000 toward funding the need for outreach programs and financial assistance. We hope you will support the Appeal when you receive a donation card in the mail.
United Way Designated Giving
Your gift to your local United Way or through a workplace campaign can benefit the Wilton Family Y if you specifically designate it to our organization. Many people choose to make a donation this way, as it helps both the United Way campaign and the Wilton
Family Y.
Unrestricted Gifts to the Y’s Fund for Community Service
Individual or family foundation gifts throughout the year can make a significant difference in the Y’s ability to address emerging community needs or respond to unforeseen situations that require action.
Planned Giving
Contributing to the Y’s Heritage Club through gifts of securities, a will, estate or trust plans can help the Y build long-term financial stability. You can leave a legacy of strengthening the Y’s financial future and thus ensure an enriched community for the next generation.
