Volunteering
As a community service organization, the Wilton Family Y thrives on people helping out. It is an exciting and rewarding experience to share, to teach, to give, and to learn by working with other people toward a common good. Volunteers make it possible for the Y to offer many special events and extra services each year. Volunteering at the Y is open to members and the community at large, young and old alike.
Several types of volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year, depending on your area of interest and personal schedule. We have special events, fundraisers, policy committees and work projects. Many students volunteer at the Y to complete required community hours for school or other purposes.
We would LOVE to have your help as a volunteer. To learn more about specific areas and times of the year when volunteers are needed, contact Development Director, Karen Strickland. Or if you would like to volunteer in Special Needs areas, please contact Special Needs Coordinator, Gloria Bass.
