A family class where the parent stays to support their child and participate in the practice. We use movement, games, share circles, breath work and relaxation exercises to make this a beneficial, fun and noncompetitive experience. Children must be old enough to follow instructions and participate with the group.
Family Zumba is a Latin dance – inspired fitness workout. It involves dance and aerobic elements to various types of music. Hip hop, samba, salsa, merengue, belly dancing to name a few. This class is open to families with children 9 years of age and older. Babysitting is available for younger children.
New Moms’ Morning
New Moms (or Dads)! Join Ms. Eleanor on Monday mornings for a mommy and me music and movement class. This class is offered free to new parents with Wilton Family Y “Family” memberships. Children Ages 0-4 can join in song and movement with mom & Ms. Eleanor. Please pre-register. Limited space available. Class will not run on Monday, 10/09.
F.I.T. Program (Families in Training)
• 12 – 15 Year Olds – Must be part of a Family Membership.
• A parent must accompany F.I.T. participants.
• Teens must complete 5 personal training sessions or complete one session of youth strength training and pass the youth strength training exam in order to use the fitness center.
Teens can work out with their parents during our designated “F.I.T.” times. In order to participate in this program, teens will need a note from the Youth Strength Training coach or their personal trainer stating that the teen has successfully completed their program and demonstrates an understanding of proper weight technique and Fitness Center etiquette.
14 year olds and up, with a FAMILY MEMBERSHIP, may use the fitness center (by themselves) once they have completed *youth training (5 personal training sessions or the Youth Strength Training class and pass a test).
12 – 13 year olds, with a FAMILY MEMBERSHIP, have access to the fitness center with a parent, after completing *youth strength training or 5 personal training sessions and pass a test.
Note: Parents MUST accompany the child (12 -13) and they must have a valid fit card and Family Membership.
Youth Strength Training is now included in Family Memberships (1 free session per child).

This class is offered to children of family members at no cost. Participants may only receive the member benefit ONE time. Any additional sessions enrolled participant will be charged a fee.
